Linkage to the Anime News Network Kiddy Grade pages.

I got this series when it first came out in the USA. There was a lot of hype and for the majority of episodes it did pretty well to live up to it's hype.
The changes in the character designs about 2/3rds through the show was considered the "make or break" point.
I thought the transition went quite well . . .

Unfortunately, from my perspective, there were just a few too many bad spots between the good ones to make this a really great anime.
The thing I noticed is that after you watched parts of the series you really didn't want to rewatch them.

Rewatchability is one of the things that gauges how good or bad anime is, this wasn't a bad anime in that regard but it just wasn't that good either.
I might've been a bit dissappointed by the hype that Funimation was pumping into this show, as well as other people.

The Fans at ANN seem to think this is worth a 7.1 . . .
. . . personally it's more like a 6.9
I think I would have been happier with a thin-pack or a box set for less than the $160+ for the initial releases one DVD at a time.

I've seen the box set for less than $30 at DVD Pacific.
